TrackSims

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains how TrackSims (tracksims.com), run as a sole proprietorship based in Canada, uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, like browser local storage, store data on your device in comparable ways. They can be "first-party" (set by the site you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain), and can last for a single session or persist between visits.

3. What We Use

Strictly necessary (authentication and security). When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets first-party cookies and/or local storage entries that keep you signed in and secure your session (for example, session and refresh tokens). These are essential — the signed-in parts of the site do not work without them. They are removed or expire when you sign out or when the session ends. No cookie is set for a signed-out visitor.

Preferences. We may store settings you choose (such as display or filter preferences) in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them between visits. These stay on your device and are not used to track you.

Usage records. Each page you open is recorded on our own servers, with a per-tab identifier held in your browser's session storage for the life of that tab. What those records contain is set out in Section 2 of the Privacy Policy.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. It is designed to work without cookies: it does not set cookies or persistent identifiers on your device, and it does not track you across other websites.

Images loaded from another domain. Some pages show country flags served by flagcdn.com. Your browser requests those images from flagcdn.com directly, so it receives your IP address and the address of the page you were on. It sets no cookie.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to set tracking cookies on the Service. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings — including blocking all cookies or clearing stored data for this site. Note that blocking the strictly necessary cookies described above will prevent you from staying signed in. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if the technologies we use change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
